Quote: The Riddler "I would be absolutely astounded if Ashton Sims were played anywhere but prop.'"
You don't seem to understand what he is saying, Sims direct replacement for Waterhouse mainly refers to the quota spot as opposed to the position.
However..
Sims when younger was a backrower and prop, he is listed on the Cowboys website this season as such!
Now in is twilight years, he's a regular at prop, agreed.
Looking at our team this year, given the inexperienced England, form of Wood and Asotasi it looks likely he may play out as a prop.
Waterhouse has played at prop for us to on a couple of occasions this season hadn't he?
Yet thinking about it, Sims with Hill, Harrison, Asotasi, England, Wood, Evans and perhaps Riley there is a lot of competition for places next season.
Whereas House gone, Currie is vastly under body size as a backrower, Westwood's age is a magnet for injury,
Laithwaite will step up (impressive at times) but could find himself dropped for the odd calamity. It seems impossible to me not to at least consider Sims as a backrower on some occasions!?
Hypothetically, if this team at present was in the GF and Sims was available for selection, I would be inclined to start him as a backrower!
