| Shaun Wane would say tonight was a moral victory. I'd say it was it a loss.
The dominant team won, but not necessarily the better. Well played Wire. Great game

| Lee Briers totally and absolutely anonymous for the majority of the game pops up and wins it.... astonishing...it was the worse game of Rugby Ive seen at the Halliwell jones all season....even worse than the exiles game....
but what drama at the end...
I guess thats what its like watching soccer?.....largely un-entertaining nonsense then a piece of magic to win a game....with a minute to go....and everyone goes home happy....

Everybody on the Wire side made a 'few mistakes' tonight. The error count was dreadful in the first half, but fortunately improved in the second. Who threw that daft pass to gift Leeds a try ? ( not the Hall interception, the other one). Still, a win is a win. If it gives us second or third at the end of the season I will be more than happy.

| I am not even sure you could call it a moral victory to be honest. You didn't deserve the win, but got it, and the points are on the board. I don't think we deserved the win either & a draw would have probably been the fair result. It was a game Leeds lost rather than one Wire won & while Briers showed his shear class to land it on the third attempt, it didn't win the game, the Rhinos missed conversions lost it.
It was a hell of a game between two sides that could once again meet in the Grand Final.

| we've been on the wrong end of many games like that in the past, and were told that the opposition "know how to win games like these", "play for 80 minutes", "can grind out a win". So I am happy to take the two points despite us playing the worst since Widnes away.

| Two under par teams claiming moral victories over us recently. I remember the days not so long ago when a poor Wire side would occasionaly push a big team close

Given that we gifted two break away tries to Leeds through sloppy final passes ( our problem all night ) it's a bit much to say the drop goal 'didn't win the game'. We've played entire seasons without a recognised goal-kicker and this is the type of thing that happens. You can't realistically 'claim credit' for missing conversions.

| I can guarantee that if Wire went to Headingley with an understrength team, looked likely to win only to have our pockets picked at the end- people would be saying it's the sign of a champion team.

1883.jpg Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.
