I know some of you hate the drummers but today I was stood near the new corner and at first i was skeptical because there were a few lads with drums there.

Anyway, the effort I could see those lads putting in trying to get an atmosphere going was incredible. No one seemed to join in though. So I just thought about raising the question... Does anybody want to sing anymore? Or do we just want to watch the game without chanting?

All I would say is this. If you did want to sing and chant you'd be all best off standing together. I don't know if they're going to be there next game but I honestly hope they are. Whether to like drums or not these are the next generation. Do we really want the HJ to become a library?

Maybe one of the lads are members on here and can shed some light on where they're going to be there next home game or whether they are moving on. Because if they did move I wouldn't blame them. Tried their hardest and no one wanted to know...

Tell them Radio 5 'dissed' us, that should fire them up.

Depends what mood I am in. Sometimes I am happy to just stand and quietly take it all in. Other times (especially if I have had a few shandies) I will be up for making some noise. I'm not keen on drums though, if anything normally puts me off especially somewhere like Keighley. Some of the chants there last week were pretty puerile too, the whole x is a s**thole I wanna go home thing winds me up. But then maybe I am just easily annoyed!

I get people having different views on drums and chants ect. But there were lot's of clean songs sang today with no one seeming to take interest. I joined in myself with no one around me joining in. I remember thinking to myself 'This never used to happen.. We used to be loud and proud'

Is all that gone?

Atmosphere was very flat today. Guy in front of me spent the first 20 minutes faffing around with his facebook profile, and didn't look at the pitch once which perhaps indicates the mentality of some of the modern spectator.

Incidentally, if anyone is going to blame the weather/ref/performance/play-off system for the atmosphere, as supporters some times WE have to life the team, not the other way round.

Exactly... The south stand is full of young girls on their phones. Without sounding like stating a singer club I do think we need a place for the fans who want to make noise to go.

Not starting a naff club like the Wigan Brigantes. Just all those to want to sing to congregate together and that corner is ideal if you ask me. I'm used to standing without drums and though they can be too much sometimes I can appreciate it. Just think... the more people singing the quieter the drums will be!

Sorry, not for me thanks. Had we have been playing Saints or Wigan today the atmosphere would have been a lot better. The idea of sectioning off a "choir" would be ridiculed by many.

Today I had the privilege of being in the North Stand for the second time within 1 month

To say we were as flat as a pancake both on and off the field

Bratfurd were more vocal than us from what I observed, do not shoot me down now but: the north stand is boring as fook, too many reserved judgments and all I can say is, thank fook I shall as always be a south stand always have always will be.

Pass me the pistachios

Must confess, I was bored less today watching that - and I've been watching Warrington with my parents since I was born.

Personally, I think the standard of Super League is dropping to a point where teams aren't playing to their potential until the business end of the season. I was seriously in two minds whether to go today, but then the prospect of sitting in watching telly/playing on the Playstation didn't really appeal either. The only reason I went out to day was to see my mates, and I'm half disappointed we didn't just park ourselves in a pub for five hours instead of going to the match.

I know the idea will not be taken on by many but would the atmosphere been that good? really? Saint at home was dead, could't even get a decent 'Barmy army' going as I remember.

Like I say I'm not captain Warrington myself. however I was joust thinking how people would feel about it. All ideas have to start somewhere...

It's the sport causing it. I was at the game today (Don't tell anyone, keep it quiet) and it was even worse than watching Saints. No atmosphere I agree, but that was due to the complete lack of intensity on the field. When you've got 26 men simply going through the motions, playing rehed set piece moves over and over again with no effort is incredibly boring.

All I know it there are supporters there at the club trying their hardest and no one will back them up.

Everyone complains about atmosphere but no one joins in. The only way I see it is that if you want to join in move over to the lads in the corner singing. I know I will be from now on. I'm sick of being stood in the silence stood in a library.

It might help to get Lawrence Robinson the tenor to lead the chants over the pa system ...i am sure TF & the Wire would be good with an operatic voice.

Personally though i prefer to watch what's going on on the pitch than singing.

Saddened please go to the Saints board to see your above full post. Worse than watching Saints? I don't think so. We can only play what's in front of us. The Bulls were playing the slow the play the ball down and when they realised Bentham wasn't bothered they continued.
