Couldn't find the rumour thread (if there is one) but heard a very strong rumour (from a reliable source) that Gareth Hock is very likely to be a Warrington player next season. Not sure whether anyone else had heard similar?

Smith was bigging him up (rightly) after the Widnes game...

Given his past indiscretions and his pantomine villain status what would people's views on this be?

Cracking player, dodgy temperament

Waterhouse and Westwood are contracted for next year and they're better players anyway. This is a non starter.

Good player, seems to have come back with a better temper than last year. I hope this is true!

If you could iron out the dumb side of his game, fantastic player, better than Waterhouse for me and this season better than Westwood, who has looked a little flat.

why is it a non starter?

is there a rule that says you cant sign another forward? We could easily fit the 3 of them in a 17 man squad.

he will be leaving Wigan at the end of the season, that's guaranteed.... its anything but a non starter... I think there is every chance this could happen.

If there is a fee involved I can't see W*#%n selling to a rival like us even of he's not going to play for them again. Could you imagine the clause in the contract? Not to approach any W#%*n player on the pitch during a game and to be sent off for abusing the referee within 5 mins of the game starting.

Maybe the team have heard that Hock is coming to Warrington & are playing bad as a protest.

Someone told me the same story at the London game last Monday. He would add some bite to our forwards

Salary cap. Any spare wages from Morley/whoever leaving will go on their direct replacements.

I'd love Hock at Warrington. He's a real dominating forward, even with the penalties he's more than worth it.

Just can't see Wigan selling him to us when Salford will probably be after him too.

I would welcome Hock at Warrington. Salford will be able to offer him more money but we will be able to offer chance of Trophies.

That said I think PY has got it spot on and Hock will end up at Parramatta
