Great advert in my opinion

Great advert. Great idea to latch onto one of the highest profile sportsmen of the moment being a RL fan, clever thinking.

I've already seen someone moaning about how RL can't hold their own when advertising the game, what absolute tosh.

I like the concept but agree that they should have some big hits etc in there. Hopefully they left Tomkins up the mountain.

Liked the advert, hope there are more to come. Wish they were on terrestrial TV as well.

As was said linking to something of current interest is a great idea. To carry on the theme maybe if we could do one with Bennie or Moz getting the ball back off a ballboy who was trying to hide it?

The extraordinary advert will be on ITV during the FA Cup this weekend.

Great idea to link up with Wiggo and try to interest people who wouldn't normally consider watching RL, shame that 5 mins of Eddie & Stevo's random babbling before the game might make them turn off.

I like the idea. Could be improved though..

Like, flash backs to all of SL's main players training like they were in the original 'Rugby league of the extraordinary' advert. May have made more sense.

Too much cycling and not enough emphasis on RL IMO.

10/10 for effort. 6/10 for actual delivery...

Most importantly, the ad has gotten different people talking about the sport-I've a foot in both camps, and can tell you that people in the cycling community have noticed it (for e.g. Team Sky have posted a pic of the ad on their FB feed). This has to be a good thing. With this, and te 'Extraordinary' campaign, at last something to be positive about re RL's marketing

I also thought it was a missing something with regards to showing off the sport (I was half-expecting Tomkins to leap out of the bushes and flatten Wiggo at the end!), but it's a strong message for those that don't already follow RL, and the Extraordinary ad has the tough stuff this is missing so together I think they work well.

I love the tag line "It's too tough for me, deep down i would love to be a rugby league player"

Get fans from other sports Cricket, Football etc training or playing and make the advert look like it is an advert for their respective sport and then at the end have that tag on the end.

Potential, especially as Sky can in effect advertise both sports at the same time even if the first is indirect.

its just about right.

WE all tend to overdo the Greatest athletes and sport in the world thing.

If we start preaching it on TV ads as well it may only serve to alient our game if we start to look a bit aloof or pompous in the way we look down on other sports toughness or skill levels...etc

the fact that a guy who is very popular in this country and also very good at his own sport simply states "he would like to be a rugby player...but isnt tough enough" is good enough for me...

I like the simplicity of it ...Tomkins not speaking or doing anything outrageous just jogging along.... it may also provide a bit of discussion as many non RL fans will see it and not know Tomkins and want to know who the hooded guy is.....

Great work SKY.... shame on the RFL for still no sponsor for this great game..........

When do we see the commercial with Nigel Woods big fat head chopped off and rolling??
