Although I am absolutely gutted, I am also imensly proud of what the team has achieved this year:

Considering we were e not so long ago, we should all thank the lord that we have Tony Smith as our coach

Also proud of our fans for the support given and the numbers who stayed behind to clap both teams afterwards. Chin up lads, our time will come. Keep the faith.

The best team in the country gets robbed by a psychotically unfair and ludicrous "championship" system once again. RL takes another right good kicking to it's credibility tonight, and I get to be the butt of jokes from my many RU-supporting colleagues for another week. Hard lines and commiserations to your many, many proper and decent fans.

Remember we are champions and WCC and got to the cup final. It doesn't make a mockery of SL it's just player management.

Those who think it makes a mockery of the game simply don get it, or its sour grapes.

As a very happy Leeds fan I would like to thank Wire for the best Grand Final yet!!!

I thought it would be a close one but I've never been so nervous as I was tonight.

Don't be downhearted Wire fans, this will be the first of many Grand Finals in the coming years I'm sure.

This was a fantastic advert for Rugby League and if Leeds aren't gonna win it next year I'll be backing you guys hands down. I think this is the last year for us and the next couple of years will be between you, wigan and saints.

You're a champion team and are masters of exploiting the current playoff/league format to it's fullest - no sour grapes from me I assure you. My beef is with the RL and a preposterous system that makes us all spend big chunks of money to have to turn up and watch 27 games every year that ultimately count for absolutely jack all. You can't tell me that you think that the Super League title is decided in anything like a fair and proper manner in it's current format, surely?

not as gutted as I thought I would be, I quite happily stayed and applauded the Leeds team and Sinfield on his acceptance speech.

for us maybe it is just a case of one step at a time......maybe we do have to be in one to win one....

either way I am cheered up by many bitter Saints and Wigan fans who think What we have achieved over the last four seasons is something to laugh at...........

Overall I thought the best team on the day won, just like in the cup final.

I don't particularly like the play off format as it is, however it's a much better option for the game than first past the post. To say the achievement is any less because of finishing 5th is nonsense.

Until another side from outside the top 3 gets close to winning a grand final ill struggle to believe that it isn't just an incredibly good performance from a special group of players

This pretty much sums it up for me.

I've no problem seeing Leeds win trophies with some of the players they've brought through.

All in all a great final and despite what my Saints supporting friends are saying I know any one of them would swap places with us.

If winning the Challenge cup, doing a double over Wigan, beating Saints away in a semi and losing a Grand final is a bad season.... I'll happily take it every year.

I also thought Richie Myler was outstanding for Warrington.

Great credit to those fans near the tunnel who stayed behind and gave their team a massive ovation on the way off the pitch.

What a load of rubbish, why is it unfair?

A team winning it from fifth (twice) gives the play offs credibility in my opinion. If the team that finished first won the Grand Final every year there would be no point in having it.

No one wins the Super League title in September. Credit where it's due to Leeds for proving that time and time again.
