''RALLY ROUND'':

Hi, I am hoping some of you can help us. We have an online shop that sells retro rugby shirts. We currently cover HKR, Leeds and Salford, and are also in the middle of getting some Wakefield shirts done as well as some retro GB shirts. We want to add some Warrington shirts to our store. We have been asking fans for suggestions and preferably a photo of their favourite shirt. We then run a poll via the site and we get the most popular one copied with a view to selling it. The HKR ones have all proved very popular, and although due to copyright laws we cannot include branding ie Adidas stripes and badge, we have managed to replicate each shirt to such a close resemblance to its original that this has not been an issue. The shirts are all (with the exception of Leeds) made from cotton. Leeds being exceptional due to the design, cotton was too expensive to justify creating an affordable copy. If any of you have any old pics or better still an old shirt, we would be glad to hear from you. Have a look at www.relix.eu to see what we can do. The older shirts circa late 60s early 70s are better, as they can be reproduced as a short sleeved cotton version and are ideal as a leisurewear item, and with this in mind we were thinking along the lines of the shirt worn during the mid 70s in the cup finals, but you may have other suggestions. Feel free to PM me with any photos or ideas.

Balls to all the 'Wolves' nonsense....That Warrington shirt should be our home shirt EVERY year.

Its wrong that Saints & Wigan have a home kit that everybody can recognise, yet we change ours every year, going from Primrose & blue to the predominantly white ones that they throw up on random occasions.

That primrose & blue one from 89-91 is a classic and instantly recognisable as a Wire top.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_39110.jpg

I'm sure you would get some interest on the Wigan board as well mate. Wigan fans love retro gear. Mainly because we won most of our trophies in retro gear icon_biggrin.gif

Wire should knock out a modern version of that for next years shirt!

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. We will get this mocked up asap. I was wondering if anyone knew of anyone who may have this shirt. If we could borrow it to send to our manufacturers, we can have it copied identically. We would have it returned to the owner as soon as, with a free newbie retro into the bargain. Pm me anyone who can assist. Just to let you all know that it can take around a month to get this stock in but if the other shirts we have covered are anything to go by, it will be worth the wait.
