| Does anyone else think that the songs Wire fans sing on the Terraces are poor in comparison to the classics we had back in the 1980's?
Look at the tunes we had back in the 80's at Wilderspool
- Warrington Boys, Warrington Boys, primrose and blue and lots of noise! (my all time fave!)
- Score Warrington Score, Is you score one we will score more
- She wore a Yellow Ribbon in the merry month of May
- The Famous Wigan Rugby Went To Rome To See The Pope...
- Oh Warrington, is Wonderful..... (still going strong!)
Compare this to the 2011 songs we have not
- We'rre Not W**** Anymore (sorry this is pathetic)
- Oh Oh Solomona
- Found a peanut, Found a Peanut yesterday
- The Vindaloo anthem (with Wire on the end)
There is no orginality anymore, where have all the song writers gone? No wonder people say the atmosphere is bad at the HJ when we don't have any decent songs to sing apart from the old classics.

you mentioned 5 songs from the 80's and 3 of those are still going strong, not just the one you mentioned.

Yeah but doesn't that show that there is no orginality if we have to rehash the old songs? We should have new top tunes to sing but we don't.

| I think the whole atmosphere at the HJ has been poor since Geordie stopped with the big drum n nobody replaced him !
I think the club should get a fans band like They have with England drums and trumpets would be good and they could travel to games away on the team bus get free tickets to all games and create a great atmosphere I'm sure that there are fans with the right musical talents to do it but I doubt the club has the inclination to do it !
But it sounds good to me !
And yes the songs are crap now to what they used to be !

Maybe but we should do without a drum, whatever happened to the singers? Have they all passed away or what?

| Thinking about things, theres not a lot we can sing. Other than ''Ohhhh Warry Warry'' what other Warrington songs have we got? We need to bring back ''God bless my home'' and think of a few new ones. After going to the Saints Wigan game on friday, their atmosphere made ours look like a funeral. Enough people complain about it, but no one really seems to be coming up with any answers.

| I remember a few years ago, about 8 or 9 when a Warrington 'band' came to a Chorley Lynx v Hull KR game, they were quality, trumpets, drums, the lot and they knew a lot of the 'classic' tunes. KR fans really took to them for the whole 80mins, Whatever happened to them?

| The thing is I did have a big drum but 85% of the songs started with us and we did have a few very decent ditties over the years.
I have moved to the middle of the south stand now, if I try and start singing I get looked at like I have 3 heads!
The young lads are Trying, in time they will come good hopefully by then they will realise that using songs specific to any of the local prem sides will not work as too many people have too many clubs they follow.
What is the penut song I have heard it mentioned a few times now?

| You can come up with dead simple stuff off the bat that takes off. Most will remember lesley is a girls name and he's got a pineapple on his head that just spread like wildfire, always look out for Leon carrying glass. All dated now but dead simple that people took too.
There is a song before oh solomona but it hasn't took off
He signed for the wire and he sets up the try's
He is six foot tall and ten foot wide solomona oh oh solomona.

| Raymond is spot on I remember when a male voice choir did pre match entertainment for one game at the HJ and were soundly booed when they sang you'll never walk alone.
to my mind in the 80's we were the only rugby fans to sing that.....
We roared it out at the final whistle at Wembley in 1990 so much so Alex Murphy in the commentary said Listen to the wigan fans cheering their victorious team....!! it was sung on numerous occasions throughout the 86 Premiership final......
happy days.....
the last good song we had was the Langer song ....
