His very slim isn't he..... be interesting to see how he would fare against a team who attack better than Cas, think he could do with a pre season in the gym before he becomes a regular.

Looked good last week against Keithley but tonight fitted in really well & didn't look out of place at all. Its good that the accademy are now producing a string of players that are good enough to play super league

Let's be honest though, he was in a team that absolutely smashed their opponents. Its allways alot easier for a half back to play in a team that is dominating than it is for one that is in a beaten team, he looks ok but don't put too much pressure on the lad.

agreed, he started with a poorish kick out wide to king but then backed up, picked up the drop ball then great vision for the kick through.

Lee briers isn't exactly muscular is he, Gaz is same type of player and body type as lee. |

For King's try also he made a very quick pass out to Hodgson along the line and the split-second saved there by his speed was probably the difference between King grounding the ball or ending up in touch. His confidence in scoring the opener was also instructive. It will be interesting to see how TS uses him from now on. TS seems to favour (wisely, in my view ) gentle introductions for the new lads on the scene, which might mean Gaz going back to the Under 20s after the Swinton match. On the other hand, he is a specialist half-back and our other options for replacing Myler, quality players though they may be, are essentially hookers or back-row forwards.
