| Im Not saying its Jons fault we lost to Hudds.. But can Everyone else see the lack of Direction and Go forward when he comes on? He had a stinker last night to be far. But as far as I can remember he hasnt stood out in a game since Widnes at home 2005..
I just cant see anyway that he can be here next year and We'd do well Just to farm him out to Widnes now on a dual contract and Maybe bring In a Young Hooker from the Championship to learn there trade of one of the best hookers in the world (MM)

| When he came on, i think he was trying too hard. We were chasing the game, and out of our 4 subs there was only him that could offer us something different.
He did have a shocker, but cant blame the lad for trying.
Widnes next year for him me thinks...

| Widnes ?
I don't even think Whitehaven would take him on that showing.

| After watching (and losing money on) Widnes on Thursday he'd fit in nicely there.

| When you hear "Jon Clarke comes on to replace Michael Monaghan" it doesn't exactly fill you with confidence, does it?

He was awful, but Clarke coming on didn't fill me with confidence really. Any reason that Higham wasn't on the bench?

| I've always stuck up for Clarke and think he has been a decent player for the club. But last night he did have a nightmare.
If his contract is up at the end of the season it's time to say thanks and move on.

Not one to pick a hole in your post but can you tell me last time Clarke had a good game?
?
And also Tell me one starting hooker in superleague you "wouldnt" swap him for?

| In a choice between Higham & Clarke for the resrve hooking position, it's no contest, Higham every time!

There was a season, it might have been 2007, where Clarke was arguably our best player. We were blitzed by injuries, we played VAnderson and Clarke in the halves on many periods and he stood up and was counted. It might have been 2008 when we played Saints away and Penny/Bracek by Gidley/Gardner and we lost the game; however, in the first half (I'm sure it was this one) Clarke had a top game and was integral to getting us on the front foot and over the advantage line.
Not saying Clarke's a worldy, he obviously isn't, but to ignore the past five or six years is pretty harsh and unfair.
