| The road works there are pathetic and designed to annoy people IMO. The temporary lights are taking the mick, so much so that I ignored them and drove through them.
I'd recommend going in through Lowton and past Wigan Pier, but neither route will be quick. Set off very early is my recommendation. Migraines should be set to kick in around lunchtime for those of you who work.

| Most definately set off as early as possible tomorrow night. Sunday afternoon Hull FC match still had people arriving 20mins into the match. It is mostly from the Marus Bridge direction that is a problem, if possible try to head up Poolstock Lane and then Scholes or even through the town centre would be a better bet than the A49 route. Safe trip.

Don't come off the M6 at junction 25, carry on to the Orrell junction and come off there.
When you come off the M/way you will be travelling down Ormskirk Road towards Wigan.
About half way from where you come off the M/way and the saddle junction (where the road works are) is a cross roads (Enfield Street to the right, Norley Hall Avenue to the left).
Turn left there, at the bottom of Norley Hall Avenue, turn right onto Montrose Avenue. When you get to the end of Montrose Avenue you can see the Stadium directly in front of you.
Hope that helps.

If you're driving, you're best parking on one of the roads off the main road before the junction. There's a William Hill on your left, so anywhere around there is a 10 minute walk to the ground, and then easy to get away at Full Time.

| I'm training it from Manchester this time, but always found the Winwick-Golborne-Abram way the most traffic-free, nice and easy to park on that industrial estate and cross the infamous 'Wigan-walk-as-always-seen-on-sky' Bridge.
