| not sure what i should say here
he now finds himself out of form in the position we are strongest in.
His strength and his effort is not in question..
It would appear that he is under pressure.... or maybe im just someone off the internet chatting ballcocks...

You're right....You wasn't sure what to say and, to be honest, you shouldn't have bothered.
Criticising a player on a night when none of the others particularly covered themselves in glory, apart from the defensive work of the forwards, who were excellent in that aspect of the game.....I'm not sure quite what you are getting at...

| Or you could look at it from a more positive point of view and say that we have the ability to cover his injury tonight. We currently have King, Atkins, J. Monaghan, Bridge, Blythe, and Evans who are all extremely capable centres. What a great position to be in.

| I was saying he has looked a bit off the boil in all games so far... and we seem to have alot of strength in the centres.
didn't really take much figuring out did it?

yes i could have put it like that... apologies for being a bit of a richard
i wasn't trying to have a go at Atkins...... i was trying to indicate how strong we are in his position.
he is a quality player.... he just appears to be in a bit of a scrap for a first team shirt now.

| Anyone think he might be worth a stint in the 2nd row, when he does have ball in hand he's bloody strong and pumps the legs to gain those extra couple yards.

He'd be wasted there & with the pack we have he would have no chance of getting in!

| Not so long ago when we lost first-choice centres we were reduced to playing second-row forwards there. I seem to recall Sibbitt and Burns lining up a few times - Burns even in a Cup semi-final against Wigan! The fact that we now have four or five 'real' centres is the sort of strength in depth needed to win SL. No need to put Atkins in the forwards - he'll get his share of games.

| Atkins is not a forward, and if we put him there, my opinion is that he'd b*gger off to another club. Hes an England International Centre for a reason, form is temporary, class is permanent.

| He's built very similar to Lockers at piedome could be a very handy loose, i don't think he'd be upset if he moved there.

| Built similar to Lockers, but a COMPLETELY different player> Lockers is the "best passing forward" in super league, remember???
Atkins can pass 4foot to his left, tops. Keep him at , it aint broke, dont fix it. Especially when weve got *arguably* the best pack in super league.

At one point I thought DVDV had a bit of a fetish for playing SR's at centre. Ian Knot Knott Knott!
