Fat blokes in the mud, flat caps, bogs that drain pi55 directly onto your boots - Now it's all 'Big Ask', 'Arm Wrestle', 'Collision' 'Contact' 'Facials' 'Upper Body Strength' 'Big Units' 'Scooting from Dummy Half' 'Energy Levels' 'Laying the Platform' ‘Middles’ and 'T-R-Y'. Just watching the steady lists of signings that most clubs seem to be making have we made the fewest new signings for 2011.

Don't get me wrong, I think its a good thing.

Bradford must be in double figures by now.

As far as I can make out, Crusaders, Harlequins & Wakefield haven't yet [iannounced[/i any new signings for next season, also Leeds haven't signed anyone yet they've only got Ben Jones-Bishop back from his loan spell.

One more for next year is still a probability seeing how much room we've freed up on the cap. Still think a young English back row is likely.
Have Bradford signed as many as The Salford All Stars?

Challenge Cup winners 2009 2010 2012 2019 League Leaders 2011 2016:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10289.png

The club had been planning for this sort of stability going back a few years ago when Cullen was here, at the start of 2008 we had a side of players with the right age balance mostly on long term contracts, so the team we had for 2008 was always going to have the same core for the next few seasons. They are steadily ageing so I reckon that team will have one more season together and then for 2012 we will see a substantially different team, I would be surprised if more than one or two of Morley, Briers, King, Monaghan, Hicks, Solomona, Higham or Clarke were still with us in 2012. So if we are not making a lot of signings for 2011 then I would expect we will have to be very active in the market for 2012. I expect Simon Moran is onto this as we speak seeing as the groundwork for a lot of signings seems to be done 12-24 months in advance.

The 2012 team will probably shape up like this

1 Hodgson
2
3 Bridge
4 Atkins
5 Riley
6
7 Myler
8 Wood
9
10
11 L Anderson
12 Westwood
13 Harrison

14
15 Grix
16 Cooper
17 McCarthy

I reckon another halfback, a front rower, a winger and a hooker will have to come in. All of them will have to be front line well established players. If we aren't able to get them all in for 2012, then I can see us offering one year extensions eg to Briers, Morley/Carvell, and trying to get replacements in for 2013.

The rest of the age profile of the side will have shifted up nicely though, because the 19-24 year olds now will be 21-26 and approaching their prime, so whilst people are right to a point that we have got a few ageing players, we aren't a massively ageing side, we will just need a number of recruits for 2012 and 2013.

[b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag. [b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg

By all accounts, I would expect to see the name of Evans in there at least twice.
