Although not in the declared squad for Friday. Saints have recalled Matty Smith back from Salford for the remainder of his contract with Saints. He is now available to play in the playoffs. Interesting!. We may have a fit half back after all.

Good idea to play a player who has been playing and training week in week out with a completely different bunch of players all season, and will almost certainly have some "beef" with the club, in a massive play off game.

One that's played in the halves at SL all season, and has been basically snubbed by his home club. He won't have a point to prove at all.... Whilst I've never been his biggest fan, he's a solid player with a decent kicking game and I think he could play out of his skin just to show himself off and basically stick two fingers up and say see what you could have had. And given that the alternatives are Roby/Moore/Wilkin who are much better playing elsewhere. I think it is far more of a worry to you than you would admit.

I doubt that. If Smith is playing then he will probably be partnered by Moore, since Moore was originally a halfback and has been moving in and out of the role as our various halfback combinations have appeared over the season. Wilkin won't be anywhere near the halfback positions. |

I would be a lot more worried if both pryce and eastmound was available for selection and you would be a lot more confident..
