I think he left Manly because he wanted to play at 7. Couldn't keep the shirt when Orford came back from injury (not getting on with Hasler was also a factor). Presume Cull had assured him he would play at half-back when he signed. Bet he regretted that later. |

Didn't Smith also play him at scrum half for a few games when he came? then he played at 9 and was different class.

Because we didn't have a scrum half? Both Bridge and Grix were pretty permanently injured for the time Monaghan was here in Cullen's time. |

I think the hooking role is getting similar to a scrum half role by the day, this guy is pure class, i hope we can get him tied down to a new deal soon or Saints might come sniffing, unless he goes back to oz that is
