I think the major sticking point for Penny is his wage which I know none of us are privy to but it was understood that the 5 year deal he signed was a significant one.

Personally I would keep KP but understand that under the SC there's little room for someone on a big wage who the coach doesn't believe is quite up to the mark. I can't see TS keeping Kev and continually loaning him out to get some game time until his contract expires. The end of this season will probably draw a line under his future at the club one way or the other. As for replacing Chris Hicks I can't see anyone but Chris Riley doing that but Rhys Williams is probably in with a shout as well.

one would imagine Rhys Williams is on at least half of what Penny is on. Penny was quite clearly given a salary of that of a first team regular.

Rhys Williams is not and most likely never will be a first team regular but at the moment he his happy to be paid and play two or three times a year.

Penny is being Loaned out so his value doesnt diminish, and any prospective buyer will be buying a player playing regular superleague rugby, anyone who thinks he is being loaned out to learn the game is being very niaive.

I really dont understand the Rhys Williams thing though I have seen his 1st team appearances and nothing else but havent been impressed at all, also I dont see any other proffesional club in the world with a winger of his build - Squat.

I suppose he's cheap and if he plays all season in the reserves its no big deal....

I'm a KP fan, but I think that we've seen the last of him in a P and B shirt. I really think that he'll be offered a deal at quins for next year which will free up space on the Cap.

He has a 5 year deal on good money, whether he would be willing to take a drop and go to London is anyones guess.

I hope he has a future at Warrington.

I can see why you'd form that opinion and while I don't think he's going to become a world superstar he's probably two years behind Riley in terms of development, similarish build but Williams is bigger AND faster.
Is Williams ahead or behind where Riley was 2 years ago? Im not too sure myself and I think Penny has by far more potential, it's whether the money is worth seeing it out.
