| Although St Helens had a big victory on the scoreboard, I thought both teams looked very strong last night, particularly given the players missing on both sides. When they are strong, they are still the teams to beat.

| The Leeds goal line defence was absolutely atrocious. And it has been every time I've seen them this season.

To be fair to them they were dealing with Saints having 75% of the possession, us making no errors and them having to face several repeat sets.
When a referee polices the play the ball as well as Silverwood did last night it's very hard to stop Saints when the likes of Graham, Cunningham, Roby and Puletua are in that form. Leeds' pack took a good beating, Peacock isn't at peak fitness yet and Bailey only did 10 minutes.
I thought one thing that was noticable was how flustered Leeds seemed by being dominated. McGuire had several moments of pure petulence, like the ball slam on young Foster. Their discipline also didn't hold either, constantly giving penalties away, the one Sinfield conceded was shocking given it was bang in front of the sticks with them 11 points behind at that stage.

| They were getting wound up due to the ref hammering them at one point. To be fair he missed a load.

| Bring back wrestling at the play the ball. Imagine the Wigan vs Hudds game next week if the referees have suddenly started to speed the play the ball up. There will be about 40 penalties.

| Overall i thought Leeds were dissapointing last night, apart from a few little spells in the game where they looked dangerous they were a shadow of the team that walked all over Hull.
They contributed to their own downfall with nemerous unforced errors, they gifted saints a lot of posession by failing to keep hold of the ball. Completing a set of 6 was an achievemnt for them especially in the 2nd half.
Apart from one break by Rob Burrow i thought the Leeds half backs were fairly anonymous, McGuire came up with at least 3 crucial errors and then he lost the plot soon after, Burrow didn`t do a lot either. Keith Senior didn`t look fit, the strapping said as much. Ryan Hall was another one who came up with a few crucial errors.
When Leeds were 6-0 up i think the try that was dissallowed should have been given, they ruled that the dummy runner Jamie Jones Buchannan had obstructed a saints player and stopped him making a tackle on the player with the ball which i think was McGuire, the saints player wouldn`t have got anywhere near the Leeds player to make a tackle.

| I too thought Leeds were pretty poor however when a team has players like Graham who put in the effort like his try saving tackle after breaking from the scrum in the final few minutes they will always be a team that will take a top drawer performance from the opposition to beat them.
Graham: still the best player in Super League to have in your team bar none.

[iGraham.'"
Disagree. Don't think we're lacking in the prop department, wouldn't take Moz or Carv's out and the form Woody's in this season I would struggle to take him out.

| Yeh James Graham was immense, regardless of how hard he seems to get hit he always tries to get to his feet as quickly as possible even if he`s a bit dazed or injured. One thing saints look to have now is some very good kickers which wasn`t the case all that long ago with Sean Long and Wellens.
Having a good goal kicker should make a big difference to some of the St Helens scorelines, they used to give away quite a few points in the days of Long and Wellens when they had ball boys and the St John`s ambulance running for cover with wayward kicks.

Goal kicking game, yeh i`m saying he`s a poor goal kicker. I never mentioned his kicking from hand. It was obvious i was on about goal kickers with referring to both Long and Wellens as kickers in the same sentence, since when has Paul Wellens been a tactical kicker ?

I was already editing my post at the point of you posting yours to expand on the point about a good kicker as in goal kicker.
