having only 1 prop forward on the bench worries me slightly, more concerned than that rather than Sam not being there.

Agree on both points there, stated both in my Topic on the Saints board

IMO Carvell ahead of Westwood

Interesting selection choices there from Smith. I hope Myler plays a lot better than he did against Wales now he has a game under his belt. And seeing as he is a natural 7 probably one of the reasons why he was picked.

Bench is a bit powderpuff.

Tomkins not being in is joke.

Carvell should in in ahead of Westwood.

I only hope he is using this as another warm up match.

At club level, this is "International" where so far Smith has failed miserably.

Cullen won his first cup within months of being with us, your fluke at Wembley is a one off.

White washing the Kiwi's was a definate example of 'failing miserably.' You make a very vaild point.

However, last year was a washout but by dropping all the so-called stars this year and including alot of young guns, we will hopefully see a more competitive England. Although it pains me to say it I'm suprised Tompkins isn't in the 17 for France.

Oh come off it, even you could have white washed the Kiwi's side with the team they had out, everyone knew it was a nothing series back then when it happened. The Kiwi's team this time round is far better than what they brought in that series, the French team this time round is much better than the one they had in the World Cup. Don't be surprised if we finish bottom.

Our 'fluke' at Wembley which saw us completly outplay one of the form sides in Super League (yes, that competition that involves big clubs) resulted in us winning the Challenge Cup based on Smiths brilliant tactical awareness.

Now stroll back to Disneyland with Cullen an enjoy your worthless few-months-old Mickey Mouse trophy.

I agree with all of the above - but the last point is hopefully the main one - I think he's playing Myler again to see if he can improve and get back to where he was asap - as he already knows what Tomkins can do.

I think if we were playing the Kiwi's or Aussies that wouldn't be the team! Well, I hope anyway!
