Do midweek reserve/academy fixtures stil count? I remember when players would get three match bans and the like, two of them would be taken up by Academy fixtures that they were suddenly dead certs to play in.

Senior's ban is about right. It was no worse then stuff that goes on week in week out but JJB is a lucky lad.

The RFL seem to want to stamp that type of tackle out yet they're not going to get rid of it with 1 game bans. It's dangerous and each and every player has no reason to do it now that they've been told.

It should carry an automatic ban of 3 to 4 games imo.

JJB though - that was a complete and utter disgrace, Graham is one of the in-form props ATM and England could do with him in the Four Nations and for on of his own COUNTRYMAN to delibrately try and seriously injure him is appalling. He should have got 3-4 matches.

The punch was probably worthy of one match but the stupid behaviour afterwards was worthy of another charge of bringing the game into disrepute. For a senior player (no pun intended!) to behave like that a) in front of a large crowd and b) on Sky and not get punished for it is asking for trouble. How are you supposed to tell kids that that behaviour isn't acceptable on the pitch when someone like him gets away with it?

james graham is out of the saints game at the weekend because of the injury sustained. it could cost us a play off place if saints go on to lose. i would like to see bans have some sort of comparison to the injury caused, if it is deemed deliberate
