We did that 2 years ago and it was brill. There was a bloke waitin at the train station for us, took 1 look at our reg (which we pre booked) and waved us in. 20 mins on the tube, nice journey an before we knew it we were at Wembley station! Very good for leaving aswell.

Where did you park at Uxbridge? and how much did it cost? Just waiting for London Transport to confirm route from Uxbridge to Wembley is not effected by engineering works

| Just had this back from London Transport
Thank you for your email,
If you take the Metropolitan line from Uxbridge to Wembley Park, the planned engineering work will not have an affect on your journey.
Have a good journey and enjoy the game
Kind regards,
Tom

| Be very careful on the M42 and M40 they have a thing called variable speed cameras that plot you average speed along the motorway and you get a ticket if your AVERAGE speed is more than 70 mph on the M42 the speed limit varies from 50 to 70 and changes regularly so be very careful !
M6 toll road is worth every penny and a must imo for anyone who is driving there !

There isn't a car park at Uxbridge tube station. here is the reply my mate got from e.mail the local council about parking.
The main parking in Uxbridge is to be found in the shopping centre car
parks. Elsewhere in the town there is limited parking and it is also
restricted to residents parking zoones only. You can choose between the
Chimes car park - see this hyperlink for details and charges
www.thechimes.uk.com/parking_at_the_centre.htm or at the
council's Cedars and Grainges car parks where the charges are as
follows.
Up to 4 hours £2.50
Up to 5 hours£3.20
Up to 6 hours£4.50
Up to 8 hours£6.50
Over 8 hours£8.50
Sunday (all day)£2.00
Please note the Cedars and Grainges car parks are pay & display so you
will need change. At the Chimes you can pay by card and it is pay on
foot when you return.
You could also contemplate one of the other stations further up the
Metropolitan line, where parking may be available at one of the station
car parks and is quite reasonably priced. Make sure you allow enough
time for the tube journey and then to walk from Wembley Park tube
station to the Stadium. The new stadium is a great venue so leave
yourself enough time to enjoy it !
Regards
Another very helpful reply.

| When I went to the Catalan Saints game I parked at High Wycombe train station and got the train directly to Wembely Stadium Station and as I recall it was free parking and 3 for 2 on the train tickets if 2 or more in a car. The station is right by the M40. Worth considering as avoids Lahndahn traffic.
