| T Smith has got an almighty task to re-build Warrington. We need to sign a top quality 6 & 7 , for that we will have to wait till next season. Rumours are high on Briers going which at the moment will leave us in a even worse situation. I think we are going to see a lot worse before things get better.
My worry is, how the Board has let Warrington get so bad and it has took them till now to get in a good coach ?

| Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I can remember the cries of 'we want Cullen' years before 'we want Cullen out'.
We want a local coach who will show pride in the shirt, then we want a proven Aussie coach (cos any Aussie will be better).
We want the big name players but we don't want anymore foreign journeymen.
It's worth a big name on big wages - until he doesn't settle and then he's just here for the money.
We want the local kids to play and show some pride and passion, but Penny, Riley, Blythe etc aren't big enough/ fast enough/ skilled enough to play superleague.
Briers is finished/ over/ a bad influence until we lose then we need him/ he is Warrington.
The board can't win because we are never satisfied. They give us what we want but get crucified when it doesn't work. As I said, hindsight is a wonderful thing. I wonder if, in hindsight, the board wish they'd never got involved in the first place.

| Simple they kept Cullen on far too long somewhere in the region of 3-4 yrs too long ,they then appointed a coach who had zero experience and to go that long and not improve was a disgrace,Fortunately the board have got us a franchise a new stadium and we make a profit every year which can't be said at the majority of clubs, Now the on field side has to play catch up with the off field side of the business as long as the board and Simon Moran back Tony Smith 100% in all of his decisions we will turn it around we still have some deadwood with the likes of Briers and Monaghan and maybe a few others who will be shipped out but in Tony Smith we have faith
KEEP THE FAITH !!!!!!!!! ONCE A WIRE ALWAYS A WIRE !!!!!!!!!

| it's not the board to blame it's the top quality players we signed who have come here on the back of big reputations and not performed.
it is a big job for tony smith but one that he will pull off.

| It was more directed about the ill-discipline of the playing squad, Why has the board allowed it. Yes we have signed top quality players, they come to warrington and we destroy them, you put King or Monas in a Saints side, they will perform.

King is performing. For whatever reason, it took him a year to settle. There's countless overseas players that this has been the case with. I'm actually now looking forward to watching him for the best part of the next three years, he's starting to look a real assett and will only get better.
It'll take fans (other clubs) a while to click on, they'll only have seen the donkey from last year. We've seen him for the last four games or so, and he's been very good. Every time he touched the ball yesterday, he carried it strongly, looked a threat & you felt if he'd have got good ball close to the line he'd have been tough to stop.

1883.jpg Didn't William Webb Ellis pick up the ball and run, someone should really tell Rugby Union.

| I think this is the culmination of a three year plan to send the club into the abyss.
Afterall, why would they want anything other than to run it into the ground.

Couldn't put it better myself! If fans think things will change over night now Tony Smith is in charge then they're wrong. It is clear there has/are problems deep down at our club and but I believe TS has already shown that he isn't going to take anyone under performing and slowly we will see the results. Fans need to give the players time and get behind the team... and booing is NOT going to help matters, only destroy the confidence that TS is trying to give the players!

| I think it puts into perspective what Cullen was actually achieving. The players ultimately let him down.

| Yep I agree . Cullen did well ..
I think TS think our underachivement is down to our inconsistency and our inconsistency is down to our defence. It looks like the big time beer monsters are on there way out. We will get there.
Its gonna be a long season though

I am shocked by how far backwards we have gone.
Part of me feels anger towards Lowes, as it was under him that the team went so far backwards, but it couldn't possibly go that wrong due to the manager in such a short space of time, could it?

I'd feel much happier if he was on his way too now to be honest. A legacy from the past we are trying to recover from.

I think your pre-season dictates how your whole season goes.
