| I can`t see it happening myself as Matt Orford must be in with a huge shout at being the 7 for NSW this year, i would be very suprised if he came over to England before he had played for NSW or the Kangaroos, the Australian test team is probably a bit beyond him with Thurston virtually owning the 7 shirt and with Scott Prince probably ahead of Matt Orford if Thurston got an injury.
I wouldn`t want him here anyway after he used us as a bargaining tool to get a better deal for himself in the NRL, Scott Prince now thats a different ball game altogether.

Why this year? He's never got a look in regardless of how he has played and with Manly playing like a bag of e I would say he is way out there. Fuck me, the useless piece of that is Brett Finch got a start ahead of Orford.

Simply because NSW have exhausted most avenues in recent times without success and Matt Orford is someone they have yet to try, if Kimmorley keeps up his good start with the Bulldogs then even he could be in for a re-call.
I`m a NSW follower and the current state of half backs at Origin level has been poor in recent years, the likes of Anasta, Mullen, Bird, Pearce, Finch, Gower, Wallace and even trying Gasnier at 6 says it all really.
Matt Orford is the last high profile name they havn`t tried yet hence me saying he may get a chance in 2009 for NSW, lets face it if the likes of Finch and Gower can get a look in then Orford deserves his chance. Maybe its a Lee Briers type thing where the selectors don`t like him for whatever the reasons are as i`m amazed he hasn`t been tried yet considering what NSW have tried and failed with already.

gould really doesn't rate him, as monkeygob said before, if the likes of brett finch are getting picked when they're in need, it's a really slap in the kisser.

| He's played some great RL over ten years and not got a sniff. It's a bit like John Ferguson's career, a couple of appearances when he was the best winger, by far, for ten years.
I could see Chris Sandow getting a go before Orford, if he chooses NSW that is.
