Catalan looked shocking against Huddersfield based on the extended highlights which were on sky after the Salford v Celtic replay, they looked a former shadow of the team that did well last year.

We won`t know for a while whether Huddersfield were great in that game or whether Catalan won`t be as good this year, i can only see a Warrington win in this game based on what ive seen so far of both teams.

Did Catalans play a preseason game? I don't think they did, so they have started a touch behind. Theoretically, our historic problems wih their big pack should be negated.

I can see us having a ten'ish point handicap for this one.

I`m fairly sure they didn`t have a pre season game, i just have the feeling that they won`t achieve what they did last year as personally i put a lot of that down to Mick Potter and a slight bit of over achieving as well.

They were great to watch at times last year but i don`t see them being the same force this year, they will probably win the bulk of their home games as usual when they eventually get going but could struggle to win the same amount of away games as they did last year, i could be wrong though.

I see them around 5th/6th this year.

On teletext yesterday it mentioned something about a disrupted pre-season for Catalans, what were they referring to?

I think they had two preseason games arranged and both got cancelled.

I read that both Catalans pre-season games were cancelled, certainly one, possibly both, due to some horrendous storms in that part of France recently.

This is a very tough game to call at is all about each teams reaction to their previous game.
