| That was just behind us. I also hope the lady is OK, it seemed she suffered some sort of seizure/fit.
Despite many people shouting and waving at the stewards it took such a long time, and someone running down the steps to get them, before any steward realised there was a problem and went for the St Johns & Paramedics. Don't like to have a go at the club, and I realise that under the circumstances it may be the wrong time and thread, but the stewards reaction to a very disturbing and worrying situation was attrocious and painfully slow.

You must have been sat near us chum, we were three rows directly in front of her. I personally didn't see anything wrong with reaction time - with the commotion of us attacking the Bulls line and the subsequent din the crowd were making as we scored I thought they got there pretty quick. I did think someone might have noticed the waving of the people around her, but am left wondering whether it was dismissed by stewards as just over-exuberent fans.
I was more alarmed by the people standing in the way around her, not allowing the paramedic to get swiftly to her.

| I sit two rows in front so I guess you must have been sat very close to me.
We had scored but everyone had calmed down waiting for the conversion when it became obvious that something was going on, clearly not celebrating the score. I would have thought that there was enough commotion to attract a stewards attention and then the fact that those around were shouting and waving towards the stewards rather than the pitch should have alerted them to a problem far faster than it did.
I do agree about fans not getting out of the way, but then again it is difficult to move without clambering over the seats or squeezing past towards the paramedics making their job even harder.

| In fairness to some of the stewards a young lad (probably about 11) took ill towards the end of the game in the south stand and fell/collapsed. Stewards were on it in a flash and got him sorted and he was taken off to first aid. Hope this lady is OK

That was my lad. Stewards were a big help once one of the senior ones was told and everything was fine with him in then end.
As for the minutes applause. Public shows of grief don't sit easy with me. An absolute tragedy for the family and those that knew her especially given her age, but no need for a minutes silence or applause in them situations.
Just a personal opinion and I've got my tin hat on but don't let that bring the thread down.

As it happened in the ground it was a nice touch by the club, i remember it happened once at Wilderspool years ago where a bloke had a heart attack & died during a game and they had a minutes silence the next game.
