Carvell had ago at him and was pushing it, Bailey got a wee bit scared and didn't do nothing back then needed one of his team mates to back him up.

| The official wording on the RFL site is
Quote: "Player attempting to complete tackle, uses forearm on opponent but inconclusive as to initial point of contact, worthy of penalty but not misconduct requiring referral '"
It seems you're now allowed to swing haymakers, so long as you miss... where as I'm pretty sure players used to get reprimanded even if/when they missed, if there was clear intent. |

Its a possibility.
You rarely see Bailey at the front of the biff (unless its the WCC and he wants to throw a few  ) He is normally one of the last ones in and is generally smiling or laughing. Look how he responded when FGB came in shouting the odds when they were about to pack down in the scrum. Just stood up and talked.
Scared or just not as stupid as some others? |

Bailey is a cheap shot thug, of course he comes in last to any biff as he is petrified of actually having to stand upto other players. Anyone can throw a cheap shot and then go and hide behind the big forwards.
I saw him swing the forearm at Riley, would never dare do it to Morley, Carvel, Wood or Westwood.
Good job he was reasonable enough to be a rugby league player otherwise he would be in jail.
