| Whats the easiest way of getting from Watford to Wembley next saturday?
I've googled it and got loads of conflicting answers. I believe there are a few stations in Watford. I'm not bothered about getting off at the nearest to the stadium. I'll walk the last bit.
Which station?
Which line?
Frequency of service and price would be nice to know.

I would avoid Watford if I were you, Leeds United are playing Watford the same day. Get to a station anywhere on the Metropolitan line, trains every 10 minutes approx £3.50 return and carparking cheap too. Get off at Wembley park, just follow the crowds.

| We were thinking that the M1 route is going to be mega-Leeds-busy so we are going M6, M42, M40 then A40 to Hillingdon. £1 to park all day then Train into Wembley.

| Morning All, we are staying in Watford as well, after speaking to other people who have stayed in Watford they have said get an Oyster card from the Post Office.
This allows you to travel all over london hassle free without the issue of queuing for tickets at the tube stations.
Tube Trains run every 10 - 20 minutes from watford to wembley journey time around 25 minutes max, put an initial paymnet on card about £10.00 this allows un limited useage on the underground plus the kids travel free on these cards.
by the way I have 3 boys so it work for me & is cheaper
cheers The Tinks

| Numerous ways
Any Metropolitan Line station in the area= Watford-Croxley-Moor Park-Northwood
Overground stations = Carpenders Park-Bushey-Watford Junction-North Watford-Garston
Using just the buses From Watford
Route a) 142 to Edgeware then 79 or 204 to Wembley
or
Route b) 258 to Harrow then 182 to Wembley
Route b probably the quickest and the one i'd take
Mixture 142 serves Watford Junction, Bushey (overground stations), Stanmore station (Jubilee Line)
258 serves Watford Junction, Bushey (overground stations), Harrow on the Hill (Met Line)
plus the connecting buses 182, 79, 204
182 serves Harrow on the Hill, Northwick Park, (met line), Harrow and Wealdstone (overground ONLY though)
79 serves Canons Park, Queensbury, Kingsbury, Preston Road (Jubilee Line)
204 serves Kingsbury, Preston Road (Jubilee Line)

I'm going home to my parents on the Friday in Watford.
The easiest way is from Watford Junction to Wembley Central if you're staying in the town centre area. Last year the first stop was Wembley Central if I remember correctly.
If you get one of the local service trains you'll stop at every stop to Wemble Central.
Watford Station on the Met Line will take you to Wembley Park but the station in Watford is a bit out of the way on the Cassiobury Estate.
I'm hoping for a bad day for Leeds as their football team are playing are playing the mighty Hornets at Vicarage Road the same day whilst hopefully we're beating the Rhinos.
C'mon The Wire & c'mon you Horns.

| Im staying at the Watford Premier Inn and my route to Wembley, as it stands is;
Watford High Street (London Overground) to Kenton, about 6 or 7 stops I think.
Quick walk from Kenton across the road to Northwick Park Tube Station (Metropolitan Line)
Two stops then Wembley Central.
Unless anyone has better ideas?

| The Transport for London web site is reporting that the Metropolitan Line will be closed north of Northwood station over the whole weekend.
A replacement bus service will be in operation.

| Don't be scared about replacement buses, you still just go to the station, jump on a bus, they run in higher frequency than the trains and will only put about 15 mins extra on your journey
