Don't worry I'm not getting ahead of myself, because a crowd of us are going to the final with or without the Wire but the train is a non starter. Last year it took 4 1/2 hours to get home, this year it is 5 1/2 hours as you have to go via Nottingham, due to the west coast main line being closed again.

Not if you go out on Friday and come back on the Monday. No rail work and under 2 hours with No stops. Rail work from midnight Sat until Midnight Sun.

Go from Manchester. I've already looked at train prices and times and they look normal. It's only twenty minutes each way on the train from Central so hardly a massive diversion.

Why on earth would I want to come back Monday, just say the Wires get there and just say they win. Regarding the Manchester trains, you will find they are 5 1/2 hours on Sunday

Come home on the Saturday then. I haven't looked at Sunday trains as I'll just be going and coming back on the same day.

If you've booked a hotel for the weekend it looks like you're lumbered with the long journey home. Unlucky but hardly the worst thing in the world after a trip to Wembley a great weekend away.

yeah we have got ours booked, 5 1/2 hours still beats the national Express we have had to use for the last 2 years. stopping every 2 minutes for driver breaks (i know its the law) and slow traffic & no ale allowed.

If you go from manchester you will find it cheaper if you book Warrington - Manchester & Manchester - London rather than Warrington to london via manchester.

They have a habit of charging full price if you use two train compaines for one journey.

wouldnt use the hogwarts express after last years farce coming back,stuck in a siding looking for the driver rofl,then the detour through manchester,thank god we won.

i was on that train comin ome!! i remember being at Crewe and thinking great i'll be ome in 25 mins and still being on it an hour on from there for the detour!!

IF WE MAKE IT...in the car, park at Hillingden, tube to wembley...reverse coming home. With the 4 of us, that will actually work out cheaper than train all the way.

Bloody hell..... I know I was happy too, but reversing all the way home was really taking the p*ss !

lol..it will still be quicker than taking a mass diverted train...lol

It would probabaly be cheaper to get a coach from people who run one from pubs not the offical Club one as that is dear.
