| Don't really understand why he would go there to be honest. He deserves a bigger gig than that. Hull would have been good if it suited his family. I'd love to give him a chance here I suspect one of the big clubs coaches has decided to move back home and that's his spot sorted.

| Watson to Huddersfield makes absolutely no sense.
If I was a Salford fan, I think I'd always have expected him to move on at some point, but I'd be well hacked off at him leaving for Huddersfield.
Maybe, just maybe, he knows something is stirring somewhere else and he's throwing his hat in the ring?

| Didn’t I read that Huddersfield had offered him the role and he’d turned them down? I don’t see why he’d go there - they aren’t going to offer him any more success than Salford have.
I can’t see us going in for him yet when we’re still in the playoffs. It would be a major change of tack if we had already decided against Price for next season. I also can’t see him leaving a club where he’s loved for anything less than a sure thing.

He was offered Hull and turned them down because it was too far to move his family at this time. It a team that's still involved in the playoffs because otherwise it would have been announced.

| That’s it. They both start with an H!!
My money would be on Wigan then. If we can rule out Hull, Warrington aren’t adventurous enough (love to be proven wrong), Saints and Catalan still have coaches under contract. Agar is on a rolling contract but can’t see Leeds dumping him after their recent resurgence and CC win.
I know Wigan have just won the shield but Lam was always a stop-gap for them.

Not necessarily. His departure would always be announced before the club he'd be going to announced it.

But if out of the playoffs why wouldn't a club announce it straight away and get your recruitment and momentum for the followinf season under way? It would be easier to. Attract played and sponsors if a new highly rated coach had just been announced. Late finish this seaon tok so their coach would have been off contract already with the end of the playing season.
Will be one of us, saints, Wigan or Leeds. Possibly Huddersfield whilst theyre on standby. Already turned down hull because too far away and catalans is even further. Very possible a head coach of one of those sides has announced he's calling it a day and returning home or having a break.

I suppose so but again in most cases it would involve uprooting his family. Plus their seasons are over so the timing doesn't suit they could just appoint his straight away.
Its been a turbulent year I wouldn't be surprised if one of the antipodean coaches involved in the playoffs have decided that they want to take their families back home to Australia.
I think it will be announced soon enough anyway. He won't have left without having somewhere else to go.

| The new coach merry go round in full swing with Hull, Huddersfield and Salford soon to be appointing new coaches. Hopefully we don’t stand still should we lose on Thursday.

| Well all four teams due to play in this first round of the play-offs have been given the all clear ny the COVID testing team. This means that Huddersfield's season is over so, if Watson is going to them, we might expect to hear very shortly.

He didn’t say that, he said the time wasn’t right to go there. There is not secret that FC have little or no money whereas Ken Davy is still funding.
Very sure you’re right, a 30 min drive vs a 2hr drive at best, would have a significance.
