| Tuned into SKY this morning to see how bbq-boy Tyrone performed for the Gold Coast.
Now, I'm not a vindictive person, but I'm writing this from the borough general having sufferred a hernia when I saw it was absolutely lashing it down in Ambrosia, I mean the Gold Coast, and the titans were getting a good shallacking.
Bed bath please, nurse.

| If he'd have given 25% of the effort Austin is....he'd be going home a Wire legend.

| Probably why he lasted 11 minutes. Really though we need to move on and just never make that mistake again.

| Jeez lets all move on, blah blah
Call yourself supporters? Being consumed with a thirst for retributive karma and revenge against those who have wronged us is what sets us apart from ping pong fans.
If it wasn't for angst ridden rants about Andy Currier, Russell Smith, that injury to Monaghan in the GF, Andy Gregory and the quality of the beer in Castleford this forum would be empty.
Join me in unhealthy anger.

| Seeing a player carried off with an Achilles injury ten minutes into the first game of the season gives me no satisfaction whatsoever.
Each to their own I guess.

| Didn’t know he was injured, thought it was a generalised rant about his current team losing in Warringtonian weather conditions.

It was, hence the thread title, I was also unaware he got injured. Bit of irony induced levity of a Sunday but I'll stick to re-runs of Harry Seacombe's Highway for entertainment in future.

No he wasn't that good a player, that was the problem.
He wasn't a top rate NRL player with a glittering career down under that only needed to go at 25% of Austin here to become a legend. That description works for Langer and Sandow but not Roberts.
He was an OK NRL player who didn't have a club down under, came over here and was just OK for us.
I don't get this idea that Roberts was some sort of lazy genius that couldn't be bothered here but if only he'd been motivated would have been a legendary halfback.
As far as raw talent goes, I would put him well below Ratchford for instance. Actually imagine if Ratchford was an Aussie who had been playing in the NRL, I bet one of their agents could tout him round the SL clubs and get him a contract as the highest paid player in the league.

| Totally agree on Ratchford. The player that other rivals fans are nervous of when he gets the ball.
Like Clark, Currie and charnley - top drawer players who would grace any SL side.
