He wouldnt get in over Livett for me on tonights effort anyway.
You got to feel for Ben...this injury will blight him. Very few have ever come back from it.
I think he needs to think over his options. His ACL is knackered again.

| Not looking good for the fella.
2 ACL's in a short space of time. It's not looking good.
Such a shame, the lad's obviously got huge amounts of talent. Mark Roberts 30 years on.

| So sad. Assuming it's the same knee this doesn't look very good at all. Not many recover to play again after an ACL rupture, never mind a rupture in a repaired one. This is the 4th injury to the same knee since Sept 2016.
He's got to consider his life and mobility after rugby league and at 4 games in 2017 and 8 in 2018 we need to consider 2nd row options.

| I've heard its a different knee. He's been nowhere near his potential since he came back from the first injury. By that i mean hes gone from genuine sculthorpesque world class to being just very decent. Currently Livett offers more but we should lament the unfortunate loss of a player who was the modern day Mike Greg and a little bit more. If Currie comes back 50% he can still make a living.

Another on the Wires71 scrapheap.

| It's gutting for it to happen again even if it's a different knee.
I'm less worried if it is different knee as he has shown the commitment and discipline to come back from one. If its the same one it leaves both Ben and the club with some tough choices to make.

| Can we just hold back a little bit before condemning him to obscurity? Sympathy and fingers crossed for the future is my offering.

| It’s the same knee but can be fixed. Ben’s a strong character and even on one leg he’s still a good player. If he keeps his chin up and takes the rest of the year out to recover there’s no reason he can’t come back fresh and ready for next pre-season... he may lose a yard of pace but his rugby brain will still be there.

| I'm gutted for him, he's so incredibly unlucky with that knee. I hope he keeps his chin up, recovers fully and comes back stronger.

Maybe its time for him to exercise that rugby brain.
Young coaches seem to adjust with the coaching styles of modern football better than older ones it seems.

Not at all I hope he can recover. Just the odds are they he will not.
Who else is on this scrapheap that you refer to?
I know I have been critical of Russell and Tony Smith and glad we are shut of them.

| so much talent. injured if I remember rightly diving on the ground scoring a try against Wakefield a few yrs back with nobody anywhere near him. Another Australian trait coached into the players. He could have easily just touched the ball down and been a world beater by now. Hope he does come back as he is a top player.
