He was vomit inducing all evening with his pro Saints commentary.

The Sky commentry used to bother me, but not any more. I have a son who never shuts up so I have had to learn to phase out the vast majority of what he says and pick up on key words like hurt, fire, cut, etc. Similar with the wife - money, pounds, expensive. Not found any key words with Sky yet except maybe for Warrington if we're the 'other' game.

I reckon he was turned down to be a Wire mascot when he was a kid and after the "wide to West"(should be called the "Joynt Joynt Joooooynt" try really after Eddie actually creamed himself shouting it!) and he had that commentary put on t-shirts and in books and on the stadium walls at Langtree - there's no way he's not a Saints fan. But he's a Saints fan with a proper downer on Wire, that's for sure!

Although not as big a downer as he has on Catalans. He's sounds absolutely gutted every time he commentates on one of their tries.

Eddie could even be our favourite visiting scouse supporter ,Saddened.

Since the playoff game v Hudds a few years ago when Grix scored to seal it for us and Hemmings cried " Oh Nooooo "... I only listen to sky commentary when I'm watching a Wire game as I like to know what they are saying.. For any other match I put my headphones in and listen to music, whilst watching. The bias is at another level...
Hemmings.. Very anti Warrington, Extremely Pro Saints and Widnes.
Clarke .. Just extremely pro Wigan.
Stevo ... Extremely pro Leeds .. Anti any team not from Yorkshire.
O'Connor .. Extremely pro Wigan and Widnes.. Anti Wire
McDermott and Carney are probably the best two.

I can't wait to see both the clown's replaced. I'm quite an oldie really I don't like change. ..I prefer " the olden days"...formula one for example...back in the day with Murray walker commentating its never been bettered ..today's efforts don't cut it....

Same with the darts the tennis the horse racing. ..All the quality commentators gone and replaced with fake enthusiasm...

It will be sad day at the end of the season when Ray Warren hangs up the microphone. .. a fabulous caller of the game not massively Insightful, he leaves that to Lewis and Johns etc but accurate honest and unbiased with a pure love for the sport. I couldn't even tell you if he has a favourite team. ..he's fond of Steve Matai that's all I can make out....

Eddie and stevo are none of the above....pure nonsense from start to finish.

Just for the record My favourite wire commentary ever was a game we lost to Hull. ..It was Clive Tyldesley on itv calling Greg Mackeys wining drop goal AGAINST us in a 3-2 loss ......he simply said "Heart breaker! !"

Of all the players on show he picked one of the worst full backs ever. ..It was joy watching Handley go round him like Usain bolt beating a fat lass to the buffet. ..

he thinks he knows the game and picks out something bizarre in hoping it will happen and make him look clever. ...he was lucky his star man was on the winning team against second bottom leeds..

He's done nothing to me personally but I simply hate him on my tv...!!!
