i was in the shop earlier after i got my tickets and i asked about the trains and they said "we dont have any because wigan booked all the trains before their semi final" can they get anymore arrogant?

It's not arrogant, it's just good forward planning. Remember the "Wire Flyer" was announced over the PA immedately after the final hooter in the 2009 semi, and I doubt the club made a quick call to Virgin with two minutes to go and victory assured, so obviously it had been pre-booked in the event of us getting there.

Surely the trains Wigan booked can just be transferred to Warrington with it being ten minutes apart on the exact same line though?!

I'm very relieved they got knocked out, not because I feared losing to them at Wembley (I think Leeds have got a very good chance as it happens), but because I reckon my train fare would have been a lot more expensive if Wigan fans booked the cheap tickets on Saturday night.

I guess they'll need converting though i.e. glass in the windows, seats instead of straw etc.

One train allowed on each of the main lines into London. Wigan get first refusal on the train and dont make it = train will now be made available to Warrington.

Its a shame more Warrington fans don't have faith in the team.

I had faith BUT until Wigan got knocked out we didnt even have a shot at a train....................and two of us are going by coach for the price of one.

Although it's quite funny, it's no different to our 'what if' system. Had Wigan won, we'd have no train at all. Who would be laughing then?

The train from Manchester was HALF the price of taking one from Warrington.
2 adults, 1 child £90 return Picc to Euston.
From Warrington, it was 192.
Warr to Picc was about £20 for the three.

I'm going from Manchester too. £55 return with First Class return journey on the Sunday (no food or drink but I will get a seat to myself and a chance to feel superior - all for an extra £4).

Wigan would be laughing.
