Ben Harrison is set to make his England debut against Australia in the Four Nations in Melbourne this Sunday morning. Harrison joins Ben Westwood and Ryan Atkins in Steve McNamara's squad. Harrison played for Ireland in the 2008 World Cup, but took the decision to represent his country of birth and completes an impressive representative roll of honour.

I would rather the Aussies signed him than one of our SL rivals, so I hope he's good against the Aussies and saves his average games for when we play Wigan or Saints

Your facetious nature is tiring at times yes yes if he played well over here the Aussie scouts would still see him anyway and gauge how good he is but my point is, if he played well and actually bossed the oz pack then it would elevate/speed up the process, coaches would think 'hey he really could do a job here, look how he absolutely smashed Gallen all over the park'. If he played well against Saints/Wigan yes they may well want him but it doesn't look half as attractive going 10 miles down the M6 compared to spending a day on Bondi beach after training.
Ridicule my original statement all you want but I'm a Wire fan first and foremost and yes i may have a parochial attitude to England and international rugby but they don't excite me at all, in fact they don't stir an emotion in me at all.
Are you ever serious ?

I'm the same but its probably because England are so far behind it feels futile to get excited about it. I used to love international RL in the early 1990s.
ps only having a bit of fun about your original post, in any case Harrison just signed a new two year contract so he can play as well as he wants against Australia and he won't be leaving anywhere although if he does beat the Aussies on his own I expect the Wire marketing department will make use of his image. I hope he does well (also Atkins and Westwood) but fear we will get hammered.

| Harrison is a monster.... pre-smith i didn't see where he fitted into the team... these days i cant see how you could leave him out.
The boy puts his body (and face) on the line with the way he tackles... he also makes good yards....
i have no doubt he will end up as a prop.... and he will be a massive one.
he has many good years ahead of him.... some MASSIVE hits coming our way next season courtesy of rambo..... watch and enjoy.
