So we beat them at their place this season and they beat us at ours.

What lessons hae we learned and how we going to apply it in the semi.

Personally i thought Holdsworth was the key, they kicked early in the count and kept us in our own half for a lot of the match.

Who'll be the key and who do we need to nullify?

Hull will target this competition now the way we did in 2009. They're better than we were then because they'll finish a lot higher than tenth, but nonetheless we knew if we scraped into the play offs we wouldn't do anything in them, and Hull know that with the best will in the world they aren't going to win the Grand Final.

The first FC team to win at Wembley will go down in legend there though, and they're capable of beating anyone in a one off, as we were four years ago. They've already proved that at our ground. The good thing is that defeat gives us something to learn from, and both teams only have two weeks to prepare for this game, whereas we had eight (I think) to prepare for taking on Wigan in the '09 semi. We undoubtedly took our eye off the ball in Super League at times during that period - a luxury that our opponents who were challenging for play off position couldn't afford - and none of us cared a jot once our Wembley trip was confirmed. Hull will be exactly the same now.

In short I think we'll win, but I haven't booked any trains to London or bought final tickets!

It will be close, as it should be in a CCSF. I like Hull. A proper RL club with a large and demanding following.

We can, and probably should, win, given our team, but I'll not begrudge Hull for a second if they do turn us over, and I'll probably still go to the final and back them if they did.

Either way in 2013, it's going to be a spectacle in the final again.

Looking forward to a packed stadium and a good game.

Spot on and much as I want us to win, if we lose to a good team in a good, competitive game then that's fair enough.

What we need is to make sure we stay in front. We won't have to worry about them kicking on the third if we're winning. I think, right now on current form, we're the best team in SL and the game is just two weeks away. I have every confidence in our ability and our current form isn't too far off being at our best (not quite there this season yet for me, though).

However, I am not taking anything for granted. Even if we'd drawn London, anything can happen in a cup game. But Hull are much better than London.

Absolutely spot on again from Mr. Murphy. Hull, no matter what position they finish in, are not going to win the grand final. They are two wins away from one of the two proper trophies on offer and will be targetting it just like us in 09. If they do get past us i hope they win it and i also will be backing their opponents on the coupon in every game between then and the final.

If we were to play Hull 10 times then we would beat them 7 times, they would beat us twice and we would draw one game.

Hull are a good team & have the ability & players to beat us & win the Cup.
That said if I had to bet on the game I would choose Wire all day long. Hull will bring a lot of fans to the game and the atmosphere will be great.

Had a look at the Hull board and they seem to be in a pretty bullish mood about playing us and ex Hull player Paul Cooke was on Talk Sport today and he strongly fanicied Hull.. I don't mind a bit of confidence from the opposition as i'm confident myself and looking forward to a good game.

However the 6pm Sunday kick off gets a huge thumbs down from me and i think the chance of a total sell out has now gone.. d040.gif

I don't why it shouldn't be a sell out. Huddersfield is only an hour and a half away at most. No excuse really

Fair comments. We certainly need to be at the top of our game to beat you. Warrington will rightly start as favourites but we will go into the game with confidence. The club has made no secret of that fact that the Cup was the priority this season.

I'm not keen on the late kick off but as you say the atmophere should be cracking.
