| They never turn up against us with their C game, C = Cr@p obviously.
Ive never seen any St Helens side drop so much ball, make so many unforced errors and have a defence that was a shambles for the majority of the game.
What summed up their defence tonight was when Sam Tomkins who must be 2 stone wet through could muscle his way through a second rower and a big centre to score a try.
Congrats to Wigan (says through gritted teeth), they didn't have a lot to beat tonight but all the same they looked solid from start to finish and scored some nice tries even though the non existent Saints defence gave them a big helping hand.
I'll stick up for James Graham here as he took some stick on another thread, i thought Silverwood was all one way for the majority of that game tonight, he let a lot of lying on go from Wigan plus a few high shots (O'Loughlin) just to name one yet he hammered saints for the slightest thing. That one where Wigan knocked on which i think was from a saints kick off was laughable, Wigan ended up with the ball, its the one where Wilkin was irrate and rightly so.
Silverwood brought on a lot of the saints back chat through some poor refereeing, no wonder the likes of Graham were wound up. Yeh he shouldn't back chat but at least the guy plays with passion and he was bothered about tonight unlike a lot of the saints players so it appeared.

| That's because they came up against a team in the playoffs that actually played well. We played poorly, Huddersfield played poorly, there was no way Wigan were going to play poorly. They were well up for it.

I'm not on about the in the play-offs, or this year in fact. Ive never seen them play so poor during the SL era in a big game, certainly not in one that involved us from memory. That defending tonight even topped some of our past efforts in parts.
That was a far worse performance tonight than in any of their last 3 grand final defeats, they looked clueless at times both in attack and defence. How often do you say that about saints ?

| Yes the week before the Challenge Cup final in 2001. Briers bombed Anthony Sullivan to shreds and we put 50 odd on them to finally break our 7 year winless streak against them. That was the start of a more than 9 year winless streak against them...!
Actually I have memories of them having an even worse day the week after the Challenge Cup final, at Leeds. Kevin Iro scored right at the start and Stevo said something like "if you thought Saints were going to be taking it easy after the Cup Final, think again!", and Saints went on to concede 70 odd.

| Can you imagine the mental effect this loss will have on Saints? 4 in a row now. They could be in for a period of change and may take some time to regain silverware. (fingers crossed )

You clearly haven't been at Knowsley Road this season then! We've seen plenty of that. Oh, and you should have seen us against Salford ...

We've seen a lot of that, too.
You see now why some of us are glad Potter is going?
We simply know how to play you guys. It takes no coaching. Just put Cunningham out there and he'll run the show for us.

Im not bitter. Not in the slightest. Congratulations to wigan you were the most consistant team all year and deserved to win tonight. I wanted a wigan win over saints if im honest, not because of all the crap about us not beating them for so long, or because of some bitterness at losing the first playoff game to them. No i wanted a wigan win because i think that a shift in power is underway from Leeds/saints domination to a more unpredictable SL. Who would have thought (honestly.) that saints and leeds would reach both finals and be turned over so comfortably by teams that were alot hungrier for it. Maybe it's cause im currently on my 6th fosters that im saying this but here goes...................[sizeThank you Wigan.[/size
