Other two teams picked by special panel lmao you can almost guarantee what one of the teams will be then.
Another laughable example of how our sport is governed. We decide on the grading system, but then when that doesn't achieve the outcome that certain people of influence are looking for, they come up with this botched nonsense instead. If the grading system is no longer the sole metric used to decide who's in Super League and who's not, they might as well just scrap it.

| Sign a multi-year deal with a multi-billion pound company that literally specialises in what we're asking them to do........then Big Nige comes back and we may use their grading system, we may not, we may leave it to another couple of people outside of said multi-billion pound company that literally specialises in what we're asking them to do and go with what they think. Almost amazing. Almost surprising. What a sport......

| Not to worry it will all be over soon, BBC won’t cover that and even if they did it would be dumped on the iplayer. In fairness to the BBC though Sky don’t exactly make a big deal about Magic Weekend anymore.
A sporting occasion that takes place over two days and does not get a lot of advertising. The only thing that worked for the Magic Weekend was the time they took it to Anfield and Elland Road these venues were not so popular. Soon as it went back to Newcastle the numbers went up. You don’t need to be Einstein to work that one out.
I don’t know the financials of it all but I’d guess Newcastle come out of it a lot better off than the RFL.
As for the idea of using the Cup as some sort of magic weekend event how long after the previous round would it be played so fans could plan, yes the fans that the people on the top table seem to care very little about when making decisions on how to run the sport.
In summary I think when all these owners sit round a table to try to decide what to do I think they revert to kids from the 70’s coming up with ideas with no idea how to implement them so just end up playing cowboys and Indians

| Reading that I just can’t see how Salford make it into the 12 on IMG ratings. If they do then the ratings are a farce or bent take your pick. As Derek Beaumont taken over from Gary Hetherington as the unofficial leader of Superleague because for me he is acting like he is in charge and I don’t like it, before anyone asks why it’s just my opinion.

| Well it’s good someone talks sense around all this crap floating around. As it stands now I’m not sure can I follow the sport to the same degree I have done. Already said I’m disillusioned with the sport same about our club and now Beaumont is spouting off as the self appointed spokesman of the league. I mean he is talking today about the funding the expansion clubs will be getting. Would not have thought that’s his remit.
