The salary cap has not achieved the levelling up that it was aimed at achieving. It has only stopped clubs from going out of business; maybe that's a good thing, or maybe it has held others back.

It’s a bit annoying that we can’t pick up those that we are interested in, but it is actually a refreshing change that we don’t just out bid and pay over the odds. We’ve done that before and now have that reputation that agents use to their advantage and play clubs off against us.
I would have been really disappointed to have “won” an over priced bidding war for Liam Knight or Matty Lees.

It's a sad indictment but it hasn't stopped Salford and Bradford before them struggling financially |

If he does go we're goosed in the forwards next year, Liam Byrne isn't as good as Vaughan so isn't a like for like swap. So we'd need 2 big solid props and can't attract any, yeah unless we're gonna pull a magic prop out the hat we'll be even weaker next year  |

Thing is if we are going to struggle to attract anyone there as to be a case of looking at the deal again. We can’t afford to lose him with no decent replacement available. But if he does go fair play to him. |

And your not wrong but right now who is available that would be a good replacement plus if we go to 14 teams next season it gets even tougher to find players. |
