Don’t know if anyone here subscribes to WG but part 1 of the interview with Middleton is up, can’t read it as it’s behind a paywall. But from all the complaints on WG Facebook page he is talking about the money he spent on a new screen lmao. Most the complaints are about it being behind a paywall given he asked fans to submit questions to be asked. I’d be surprised if anyone asked how much did he spend on a new screen.
Not sure if this will work, but here you go:- https://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/sport/25292534.salford-red-devils-12-warrington-wolves-24-review-podcast/

| Managed to read that and he has answered like a true politician. He mentions meeting with fans a fans forum which I would be up for but not like the one they run which they set the agenda for. Yes. I understand you need some form of agenda but I would like it something like how question time is run where the audience get to ask the questions they want. Again would expect the politicians answer but all the same I think it would be good to let them see how a lot of fans are not happy with the current situation. And I did say lot not all.

And this is why we will never win SL. Can you imagine Wigan or Hull KR set those targets for 2025?

| Looking at the state of the game with Wire in mind, it's truly shocking. A club spending as much as we are on salaries and performing as poorly as we do every week makes me shudder. The money men have no clue how to fix this issue; otherwise, they would have done so.
The mentality from the top down is weak. The recruitment is poor at its best; fortunately, we have some great young players coming through, which gives hope for the future. The coaching is poor and looks non-existent week to week. Sam Burgess is proving to be another folly on the long list of follies. He may prove to be a great coach in the years to come, but he will not reach that level the Wire.
The head coach will leave soon, as will one of the star players. The list of available replacements is short, if non-existent, at the levels we require.
The future looks a bleak as the present.

Particularly when the previous season we’d got to the CC Final, had the best points for and against in the league, and been robbed in the play-off semi. Goals for this season should’ve been win it all - but then that would require not losing a world class second row partnership and going with a man at 50% fitness and another that Salford had to take under duress.

Tory Stu focusing on the money? Well colour me shocked. No doubt they didn’t answer any questions about the CEO initial recruitment and his continuing employment. We’re a club seriously lacking nouse at board level these last 10 years, genuinely down to KissKam and Stu. I’m delighted to have binned my season ticket 18 months ago after 31 years, ill just pick and choose games now and (try) to let the shambles wash over me.

| So we go from 7 to 10 overseas players allowed next season. Be interesting to see if any clubs can do it and fit them all under the cap.

I can only assume that the change is to increase the number of clubs in Super League to 14 clubs, since there aren`t sufficient UK born players of the required quality for the extra clubs yet? I could accept that, if the number of overseas players allowed is incrementally reduced back to 7 over a 5 year period and then reduced further after that. With the probable demise of Salford, that would mean 3 new clubs joining Super League in 2026. Possibly London, and then Toulouse, York or Bradford.
