Smiffy27:Blimey we were poor especially our passing early on. In the first half we made 9 errors & Salford made 2 (according to Sky). I really don't like the Williams obsession with the long/lobbed/miss out ball ... it is not good. I looked at his Stats ( https://www.superleague.co.uk/match-centre/report/43511) and it said he made one error??? I have always had my concerns about how stats are put together. I reckon even Williams would say he had a very average game. It is a good job Salford didn't get there noses ahead mid-way into the second half ... as it could have been much worse. Bit negative? For balance Ratchford changed the game and we improved our points difference by 12. Glass half full.

It was frightening watching though.

Maybe what the early adopters have been commenting on for a couple of months (often to much personal insult/attack on here) is finally becoming the recognised consensus. That being the Burgess effect has been and gone and, for reasons systemic and historic, we have gone back to being a poor side and a squanderous waste of £2.2M cap.

| I was very surprised we won last night after Salford drew level. Like has been said there are some good players at Salford & Paul Rowley must be finding it hard to come up with consistent plays when his squad can change daily. On present showing Chris Hill would still improve our squad.

I have to pull this up. Physically, Hill is still a decent prop. Mentally, he looks exactly like he did in his last 2 or 3 seasons at Warrington. Furious, slightly out of control, giving penalties away every 2-3 minutes. I seem to recall Chris has 5 or 6 kids. Well I have two small kids, and Chris storms around the field with an expression very similar to mine when I come home and look at the state of the living room. His time at Warrington came to a timely end and we certainly should not be looking back.

Re Hill late in the game in a temper, under the sticks, he threw Dufty to the floor like a rag doll and our enforcer pack did nothing.

| Sam stone is defending his ass off, doesn't get much chance to show an attacking game on the right. I can't wait to see the back of Fitgibbon, he's a grub who's been average at best all year.

| That was a truly appalling game from our perspective, but it was no surprise. Those calling for Harthill to play have a point; he would improve the dummy half passing, but he is currently in the naughty corner after upsetting Mr Chambers.

Yes, I wondered why he wasn`t playing for our Reserves on Friday, when he wasn`t selected for the 1st team squad. Maybe he told Chambers that he was a better hooker than Crowther (That`s a very low bar though) and Chambers couldn`t handle the fact that the lad is correct?

At the risk of sounding naive, what the chuffing hell has it got to do with Chambers who appears in the 17 on matchday. Herein lies the problem; coaching by committee. Coaches saddled with players they didnt sign, want or rate and being told who to play, why and when.
