| John Davidson has reported that Musgrove won’t be here next season. Hopefully, we can release him early and get a replacement in sooner than later. Recruitment is clearly the big issue - both Leigh and Wakefield have done miles better than us. It’s surprising Burgess and Chambers have got this badly wrong. It was reported in Powell’s time were in for Ese’Ese but Burgess chose his mate Musgrove because he knew him at Rabbitoes. Russell too…who did the scouting there. This is what keeps Wigan at the top - they don’t sign many duffers.

Chambers is a typical Warrington jobs for the boys recruitment. When will we learn.....we don't owe these people a living.

| Definition of a makeshift side today and it showed. I hope the run out has done some good to Wrench, Thewlis and Gardner - it was certainly a tough game to get into. It's been rightly pointed out how poor our recruitment has been: Russell is certainly a massive guy up close but not up to the standard when a side are challenging him one-on-one.
I thought Wakefield got a few calls go their way which gave them a leg up, but once they got on a roll they were miles too good for us. Dufty and Vaughan were trying to do it all, with the inevitable outcome that they ended up making daft errors that made things worse. I think Lindop is a decent enough right winger but he seemed to really struggle today on the left.

Musgrove must have a bl**dy lousy attitude if he can't get 18th man when we 're so down on numbers.
And we'd rather give a bench spot to a debut back than put Wood on there.
Make it make sense someone.
It made sense to me, Wrench playing his first game for 12 months, big ask for him to play the 80. So switch Currie to centre then, Harrison to LF and Wood on. On an already weak bench that was a shocking waste. I get your point and I’m probably just desperately scratching round to find some positives, but at least we have another academy prospect coming through. Good to see Wrench back too - surprised to see him in the 13 but probably shows how much King has been struggling. Other than that, very disappointing, top six is looking increasingly unlikely and that must be putting pressure on Burgess’ position.

| Last week we were well up for it. Even with a make shift side like today, against probably better opposition (sorry Wakey) but it was another of those typical Wire performances. Which really annoys me as we know what we are capable of, but we seem to turn it on and off whenever we want to. I turned it on and we were 12-0 down after 10 minutes. That was enough for me to realise it was going to be another of those 'poor' performances, and it was. I know a Wakey fan who tells me Mason Lino is only championship standard but we made him look like Andrew Johns today. I'm so bored of watching us this season, apart from the cup i'm at the point where my interest has wained. And i'm not even looking forward to the cup. I know we can cause an upset (2019) but lets be honest, Hull KR are just going to bully us off the park like Wigan did last year. We are not even in their league. Tough run of fixtures coming up. With KR in the league then Castleford who we underestimate at our perile. Then Leeds after the cup. We could still be stuck on around 12 points by mid June and losing pace with those above.

| Let’s not get too carried away. It was bad, but throwing the toys out is a bit daft. There were chances in the game to change the momentum and we just didn’t take them. We struggled to create any ruck speed, which in part was down to us being soft carrying the ball away from our line. Wrench, Lindrop and particularly Thewlis were driven back on a number of occasions. Missed King and Ashton in that area.
We do need to get better at kick collection though. Really bad, really really bad at kick catch. Need some intense practice in that area, it’s been a trend all year.
We’ll have plenty of chances to get ourselves in the 6, and have a cup final to play for, without our 2,4,5,6,9 and 12. No excuses, it’s a squad sport, but the amount of salary cap in the stand is insane. We just didn’t have it in us today to deliver a fight like last week, but that fight is still there when we need it.
To the guy who said Vaughan is rubbish, take your meds and get some bed rest.

Heroic defeat Ground out win Battered.
For those who follow football, will be familiar with the term Spursy
I think in RL terms , its known as Wirey

He was great last week. Not so much this week.
