| Sneyd MoM not surprised by that but Currie was massive defensively tonight.

| A real smash and grab. Saints are far from great but they had us on the ropes all night and we just about kept finding answers. Currie was superb, my player of the match even though he had a lot to deal with in Percival (Saints' most dangerous by far). Walker was terrific too; really was no reason to bring him off for Powell.
It's nuts that we have had Musgrove not even in the 17 for weeks. Not saying he was amazing, but got through plenty of work and a far bigger body than we've had in the pack. Fitzgibbon added a lot, let's hope it isn't another month until we see him again.

| I'm delighted with the spirit and effort shown by the Wire tonight, but I'm irritated that we were so awful in defence against Wigan and Wakefield. We need to replicate tonight going forward, as this is the standard we need to be at.

| Finally Musgrove putting in the work he used too in the NRL, 40minute stint so shows he can do it, maybe getting dropped was the wake up call he needed. Currie was superb. Harrison was superb. Max Wood and Philbin did really well when mugrove and Harrison came off. Sneyd doing what he's always done, but now in our colours. Ashton brilliant, King was a workhorse tonight and was causing them problems all game. Fitz doing a good solid job etc The whole team played suberb, couple of dodgy moments but start to finish that was mint icon_smile.gifold

| I thought King was very poor in defence but did some good work with the ball, especially 2nd half.

| Did Harrison come off? I thought he did the full 80. I thought they all played well. I thought we looked a bit suspect out wide in defence when Saints shifted the ball but I guess king, Ashton and Fitz were getting used to defending alongside Sneyd so hopefully the communication will improve. Sneyd is interesting. When you consider Brodie Croft was awarded man of steel a couple of years ago and then he looks pretty ordinary at Leeds so I just wonder how much of Brodie Croft's performances were down to Sneyd. Defensively we were much better. Just a shame we couldn't have defended like that in Vegas.

| Two things that haven't been mentioned last night that I feel are important:
1) Letting Clark go and putting faith in Walker has turned out to be massive. For the minutes Walker was on, he made Clark look ordinary. I still can't believe Clark got the nod for the internationals last year from Wane.
2) It may have slipped under the radar, but our academy hammered Saints away by 40 points. Not mentioned by Sky in the build-up.

The only things mentioned by Sky in the build-up were how soft and gutless Warrington are. Then Carney introduced the game as "one of Super League's most iconic clubs against the Warrington Wolves." If they had that on the changing rooms, combined with the hilarious trophy parade, it's no surprise our forwards were up for it.

Even 2 ex Saints players as the colour commentators. Lauding everything Saints did. Made the win all that more satisfying.
