There comes a time when everyone gets fed up of recovering from injury & throws in the towel. He has had such a tough time. Even when he gets back on the field he'll be apprehensive. I'm glad someone mentioned Wrench; I'm also rooting for him. He is exactly the sort of centre people say they want to see - mesmerising footwork, puts his winger away - but they bottle it if that player misses a tackle or two.

Presumably why he was dropped by Burgess after round 8 (or was that another injury?). He is into his 6th season following debut and has played 38 games. This year is a big one for him to cement a place and a new contract.
