Another week and some more great news.
Going to enjoy it while it we can. Not since the first 3 years of the Tony Smith era have I enjoyed the performances and the results. In a way it is very similar to those performances of 2011/12 ish as that team looked like they enjoyed defending, quite often that team was punishing in defence and Yates' hit on Byrne was reminiscent of the way Monaghan used to hit and force the ball to spill. Similarly we have some incredible effort to put pressure on kickers just like that team just that back then we were chasing the charge downs.
The last 11 or so years have taught me that we are only one bit of drama away from a complete collapse in form So I am doing everything I can to stop myself from getting carried away but it is tough. Enjoying the ride.

Gotta admit. I was reluctant when sam signed.
I was nervous to think we are trying someone as untried and tested as sam Burgess was and still is
I was even more reluctant when they refused to say ot was a 2 and done or if they would tag another year.
But.
This is some of the best rugby I've watched us play since 2010-2013.
Keen in defence. Risky but confident in attack.
This is the type of rugby we have wanted since 2014 onwards. And win or lose. I don't mind as it is good rugby to watch.
I'm cautiously optimistic about our chances. And hope that whether sam stays or goes after 2026. We have a succession plan in place that will see us have this (hopefully) kind of success we want and deserve for many years to come. (In a way where we could like Leeds. Bradford. Saints and Wigan back in the day place any coach that we bring in the position and set them up for success given there credentials are up to standard. No hate on wellens or cunningham. But there credentials have set saints back 3-5 years from what Holbrook had set saints up with)
