In a way, it's a blessing that the inevitable has happened.
Rob, his family and friends, have suffered enough.
His legacy will be remembered, and Kevin Sinfield's efforts will keep MND research an important issue for years to come.

Seen this all over Facebook both sets of fans on Saturday saying they will be paying tribute to the great man. I think it will be an emotional day.

Only 41 years old. It gives us some perspective about life and some of the silly arguments we get into on here. Our lives are not infinite and some cruelly draw a very short straw. RIP

Programme on BBC 1 tonight at 8.30 Only one Rob Burrow it includes a message he recorded to not be played till after he passed away, I’m thinking it’s going to be a tough and emotional thing to watch.

I've not posted until now as I cannot quite find the right words. Very sad that Rob has lost his battle, but his (and Kev Sinfield's) legacy will go a very long way to win the war for future MND patients.

Although construction work has now begun on the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, in Leeds, I read that they are still about £1 million short of the £6.8 million total needed to fund the project. If they took some fundraisers with collection buckets to the final on Saturday, I reckon they would get a fair chunk of the money they still need.
