Unfortunately the reserve games only count if there is no first team game that week.

Nice benefit of finishing top 2, we should make sure we always have a reserve game pencilled in for the first week of the playoffs just in case. Could also reduce any bans which would spill over to next season by a game as well. Not saying Wigan have already thought about this scenario panning out but it's great timing with the bans they picked up this week.

You would have to get to the final though, AND finish in the top two in Superleague. The reserve season ended a couple of weeks ago.
Many, many years ago it was allowed to rearrange an A team game to "help" with this sort of situation.
