Vaughan can't get any more than 4 as that is what SKD got for pretty much the same thing.

Not that it's much consolation, but might be worth appealing it and saying Mata'utia said 'help us up bruv'.

It's crazy and pathetic, but I also understand why it's there. If a player was badly injured, moving them could be disastrous and the player never really knows, but the temptation to pull them up must be great, given he was just trying to run the clock down.

With SKD the player was lying on his back. This one Sione is getting to his feet with a little ‘encouragement’.
There’s another one that did the rounds on twitter back in March, was a Catalans player and was worse than the SKD one, not picked up by the MRP - but think that’s down to incompetence rather than being any sort of precedence.

Sione Mata'utia got a red card and a 3 match ban for a similar incident don't forget. And he didn't physically move the player, just lifted his shirt. SKD got 4 I think for a similar one to Vaughan.

We've had our turn already, indeed it's a bit like pass the parcel as the player Mata'utia touched had himself been banned for the same thing.

So Vaughan just needs to make sure he's not the last player to be holding the parcel when the music stops on RL playing playing the world's stupidest version of pass the parcel.

The player is obviously not injured. He has gone to ground to waste a few seconds. Vaughan has given him a little tug to encourage him up. If he gets a ban for that is more proof that the world is mad. There is no chance of Vaughan doing any damage. A warning to Vaughan saying you shouldn't do that as the player could/might be injured (rather than wasting time with a minute to go) would suffice.

Matautia should cop a ban for his poor acting skills
