Used to stand near pond life corner.was fun and games when hull and hull kr came to town.. especially that cup game v hull when we were robbed blind by that ****** Billy Thompson got a bit tasty...there was a guy who sat in the stand above us sure his name was Albert had a booming voice he came out with some X rated comments about referees...happy days

I seem to remember they only had 2 or 3 military marches that would play on the wind up gramophone as pre match entertainment.

Some of the gentlemen I stand near in the South Stand just need a bit of Deep Heat and they are there!

Hmm I only remember old grannies at the games or maybe I was just so young

I used to go in all areas of Wilderspool including the old and new stands. And did a few seasons at pond corner where the clients were very level headed knowledgable guys.
The best thing that happened was putting the gate in to prevent the yobs running round the ground to start fights.

And there was a bog there at the side of the stand tho many folk ed against the corrugated fence.

The trains used to slow down to get the score to pass it on at the station
