Apologies for a thread derail, but that has reminded me of Goodies and the Beanstalk, where a golden egg drops from the sky and is caught by Eddie Waring, who runs up the field and scores under the posts. A week ago, having Sam Burgess as head coach and Sean Long as his No.2 seemed as far fetched as that happening when I was a kid. |

I mean, if your tried and tested ‘first choice’ turns you down, you’ve got to have a back up plan. The club often gets criticised for not having a plan in place. For all we know Burgess may of been on the radar all along… |
