What seems ridiculous with the MRP is that every player cited on the MRP call sheet could/should have been put on report/sent to the bin for 10 mins or sent off.
There were 43 incidents looked at in the last MRP, and 19 players determined to have done something wrong (whether fined, cautioned, banned or no further action).
So that feels either that the officials aren't doing their onfield job correctly, or worse being told to overlook 50/50 calls as the MRP will pick it up - but worse by not taking actions it's affecting the game result or subsequent results due to players staying on pitch on when they shouldn't, banning people retrospectively, or trying to do the right thing (in terms of player welfare) but not addressing the situation in a timely manner.
It's like MRP is being used to stop the game running into a potential situation where its 12 vs 10, (if players were dismissed/sin binned at the time) but it's all okay as they might miss a future game instead.
