Longstaff only has 1 season more on his current contract.

Unless we can guarantee him regular 1st team selection, I will surprised if he elects to sign a new contract with us, even if we offer him one.

I too would like to retain Longstaff, but I am beginning to doubt whether we will.

Clearly the club feel Nicholson, Holroyd and Whitehead are better options for one reason or another.

Sounds like Hodgson is keen to bring Longstaff to Hull.

Looking at your backrow options for next season, I can't see Powell selecting Longstaff in from on Currie, Holmes and McGuire. Plus Nicholson etc coming through.

He's probably git a quicker route to first grade here at Hull.

I'd imagine you'd release him from his final year to take up a deal with us. (Hopefully)

Yeah more than likely, it's a really weird one and just screams Powell doesn't like him.

He needs to work on his defence, but I'll be chuffed if we take a punt on him.
